Release Date : 2009-12-03  Similar to the other Pipal 2050 series embedded systems with total fan-less and cable-free design, the Pipal 2050M is more than just an industrial computing system for ordinary industrial application fields. With the additional mobile module equipped inside, the Pipal 2050M embedded system can now be used specifically in “Mobile” environments, such as vehicles or any moving environments.
The Pipal 2050M embedded system has low power consumption and yet highly in performance as it utilizes Intel Atom N270 Processor and 945 GSE chipsets with maximum DDRII memory support maximum up to 1.5GB. Pipal 2050M embedded system supports one CF slot internally and SIM card slot on front panel. As well as a 2.5" hard drive brackets can be conveniently installed from either the top or bottom of the motherboard.
The Pipal 2050M system also comes with options of maximum 3 additional PCI slots providing users with greater expandability into different mobile application fields. Continue with the tradition of the Pipal 2050 series the Pipal 2050M Main board provides rich I/O interfaces with isolation protection control. Besides the main board, an additional modular board with 3.5G wireless mobile functionalities is added. Instead of the original rich I/O interfaces support, now the Pipal 2050M can also support GSM/GPRS/EDGE/WCDMA/HSDPA with flexibility of either a tri band or quad band and a high sensitive GPS with 20 channels tracking. Last but not least, the Pipal 2050M also supports the smart battery interface allowing users to have a second option to power the device rather than just connecting an ordinary power cable from power jack.
With the original absolute fan-less, cable- free and diversity of I/O interfaces design and the additional of new 3.5G mobile and smart battery features, the Pipal 2050M enables users to take another step forward to use these industrial computing systems in a wilder range of applications at users own creations.
